This page is host to raw audio files for our song Kids in a Movie. The track as it appears on "States" can be downloaded here, and you can get the master tracks by filling out the form below. E-mail address submission is optional and is just for purposes of being in touch when the contest draws to a close (no spam--that stuff annoys us too!)
We are stoked to hear some different takes on it, and look forward to hearing the various mixes that you might come up with. We really wanted to get this song and the tracks out there just for fun, and we hope that you will have fun with it. However, we know how hard it is to mix any song, and we wanted to reward (to the extent that we are able to) that effort with some prizes to the mixes we liked best. The prizes are as follows:
1st Prize: We will post the remix up on our Myspace page for at least a month; We will buy you dinner and place you and a friend on the guest list at one of our shows (if/when we come to a town that you can get to); we will send you a hard copy of our record States, a tee-shirt, and tote bag;
2nd Prize: We will send you a hard copy of our record States, a tee-shirt, and a tote bag;
3rd Prize: We will send you a copy of our record States.
We are going to leave the "contest" open until August 21, 2009. We will announce a winner(s) on August 25, 2009 the date of the national release of States. We will post the winning remix to our Myspace site on this date as well.
To get the tracks, fill out the short form below. After you provide your name/band name, and email address, you will be given a password to login and download the master tracks. Note that the audio files are contained in three (3) “zip” files, and you must download all of those files to get all of the tracks. Please submit your mix via e-mail to shaynaandthebulldog@gmail.com. Note that you may opt-out of our mailing list, but we would love to stay in touch with you.
